If so, the City of Sunnyvale has an exciting opportunity for you to join our Recreation Services team as a Temporary Assistant Recreation Services Coordinator for Youth and Teen Programs.   1. Develop and implement a variety of recreational programs for youth and teens in the community.
  2. Collaborate with team members to plan, organize, and execute events and activities.
  3. Ensure that all programs and activities are safe, age-appropriate, and in line with the City's mission and values.
  4. Recruit, train, and supervise program staff and volunteers to ensure successful program delivery.
  5. Maintain accurate records of program participation and evaluate program effectiveness.
  6. Communicate effectively with parents, participants, and community members to promote programs and address any concerns or issues.
  7. Monitor program budgets and expenses to ensure financial accountability.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices for youth and teen programming.
  9. Provide excellent customer service to all program participants and their families.
  10. Collaborate with other departments and community organizations to expand program offerings and reach a wider audience.
  11. Assist with marketing and promoting programs to increase participation and engagement.
  12. Adhere to all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  13. Support and uphold the City's policies and procedures.
  14. Continuously seek ways to improve and enhance youth and teen programs.
  15. Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings as required.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Organizational Skills And Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks And Projects Simultaneously.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Recreation Management, Leisure Studies, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Planning And Implementing Youth And Teen Programs In A Recreational Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Principles And Practices Of Recreational Programming, Including Activity Planning, Budgeting, And Risk Management.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Groups And Individuals.
