He took his pizza expertise to Lincolnwood where he & his wife Jean opened the first Lou Malnati's Pizzeria on March 17, 1971. Aficionados of Chicago-style deep dish pizza lined the streets on opening day for just a taste. Lou's sons, Marc & Rick, have carried on Lou's vision of making the greatest deep dish pizza on the planet. Each pizza is handmade from scratch using the finest and freshest ingredients.
