WVU Medicine

The WVU Health System, WVU Medicine's largest component, is a not-for-profit corporation and West Virginia's largest employer. West Virginia United Health System helps residents in the Mountain State stay on top of their health. The system operates United Hospital Center (in Clarksburg), as well as hospitals in the West Virginia University Hospitals (WVUH) system, including City Hospital (Martinsburg), Jefferson Memorial Hospital (Ranson), and WVUH's home hospital in Morgantown. In addition, WVUHS operates WVUH's Cheat Lake physicians ambulatory center, as well as a network of about a dozen primary care clinics located throughout central and northern West Virginia. Combined, the system's hospitals and clinics have more than 1000 beds and treat approximately 1.4 million patients annually.
