  1. Develop and implement global category strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  2. Lead and manage a team of category specialists to ensure effective execution of category strategies.
  3. Conduct market analysis and research to identify trends and potential opportunities for cost savings and innovation.
  4. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements.
  5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize supply chain processes and deliver maximum value to customers.
  6. Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  7. Monitor and analyze supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and quality standards.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and changes in market conditions to anticipate potential risks and opportunities.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply chain.
  10. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on category strategies and performance.
  11. Identify and implement sustainable practices and initiatives to support the company's commitment to sustainability.
  12. Coach and mentor team members to foster their professional development and growth.
  13. Collaborate with other global category managers to share best practices and drive synergies.
  14. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  15. Represent the company at industry events and conferences to network and promote ABB's category management capabilities.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Business, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience In Procurement Or Category Management, Ideally In A Global Organization

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Strategic Sourcing And Procurement Processes, Including Contract Negotiation And Supplier Management

  • Experience Managing Global Supply Chain Operations And Optimizing Sourcing Strategies Across Multiple Regions

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify Cost-Saving Opportunities And Drive Efficiency In The Supply Chain.
