Lead and oversee scientific research and development projects within the pharmaceutical industry.
Develop and implement innovative strategies to advance the company's mission and goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence in drug discovery and development.
Provide scientific expertise and guidance to support decision-making and drive project success.
Stay updated on current scientific advancements and industry trends to inform and guide research strategies.
Mentor and train junior team members to foster professional development and growth.
Communicate and present scientific data and findings to various stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners.
Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely and successful completion of projects.
Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and external partners to drive collaborations and partnerships.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, guidelines, and company policies.
Represent AbbVie at scientific conferences and events, and contribute to scientific publications.
Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Act as a scientific advisor to senior management, providing insights and recommendations on business strategies and opportunities.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In Life Sciences: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Biology, Pharmacology, Or Biochemistry Is Required For This Position. A Phd Is Preferred.
Extensive Industry Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience In A Scientific Leadership Role Within The Pharmaceutical Or Biotech Industry. Experience In Drug Discovery And Development Is Essential.
Strong Scientific Background: The Ideal Candidate Will Have A Deep Understanding Of Drug Development Processes, As Well As A Broad Knowledge Of Various Therapeutic Areas And Disease Mechanisms.
Leadership And Management Skills: This Role Requires Strong Leadership And Management Skills, As The Associate Scientific Director Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Scientists And Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Abilities: The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Scientific Concepts To Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders Is Crucial.
