Lead the development and execution of strategic plans to support AbbVie's Eye Care portfolio.
Provide expert guidance and direction to ensure the advancement of the standard of care for patients with eye conditions.
Drive innovative solutions and initiatives to improve the lives of patients.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of medical affairs strategies.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform and guide strategic decisions.
Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, and regulatory bodies.
Represent AbbVie at conferences, meetings, and other events to showcase our Eye Care portfolio and discuss our scientific advancements.
Mentor and develop team members to foster a culture of growth and excellence within the Medical Affairs department.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
Contribute to the overall success of the Medical Affairs team by actively participating in discussions, sharing insights, and providing support as needed.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In A Scientific Field: A Successful Candidate For The Associate Scientific Director, Medical Affairs - Eye Care Position At Abbvie Should Possess A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In A Relevant Scientific Field Such As Ophthalmology, Pharmacology, Or Biology. A Higher Degree, Such As A Phd, Is Preferred.
Extensive Knowledge Of Eye Care Therapeutics: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background And Understanding Of Eye Care Therapeutics, Including Current Treatments, Emerging Trends, And Key Opinion Leaders In The Field.
Previous Experience In Medical Affairs: This Role Requires A Proven Track Record In Medical Affairs, Including Experience In Developing And Executing Medical Strategies, Managing Clinical Trials, And Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: The Associate Scientific Director, Medical Affairs - Eye Care Will Be Responsible For Leading And Collaborating With A Team Of Medical Professionals. Strong Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential For This Role.
