1. Develop and implement an effective payer strategy for AbbVie's medical products, in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
2. Conduct thorough research and analysis of the healthcare market and payer landscape to identify opportunities and challenges for payer access.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial, to ensure alignment and integration of payer strategy with overall business strategy.
4. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key payer stakeholders, including government agencies, insurance companies, and pharmacy benefit managers.
5. Monitor and analyze trends and changes in the healthcare industry and payer landscape, and adjust payer strategy accordingly to maximize patient access.
6. Develop and manage the budget for payer-related activities, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness.
7. Lead and mentor a team of payer strategy professionals, providing guidance and support to drive their success and development.
8. Represent AbbVie at industry conferences and events, presenting on payer strategy and advocating for patient access to our medical products.
9. Communicate regularly with senior management and other key stakeholders on payer strategy progress, challenges, and opportunities.
10. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to payer strategy and activities.
11. Continuously evaluate and improve payer strategy processes and procedures to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
