Develop and implement global trade compliance policies and procedures in accordance with all relevant international trade regulations and laws.
Monitor and assess changes in trade regulations and laws and provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders.
Ensure that all import and export activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and develop corrective action plans.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all trade activities are properly documented and tracked.
Manage and oversee the company's trade compliance training program for all employees.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all trade compliance inquiries and issues.
Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies and external partners to ensure compliance with all trade regulations.
Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to government agencies as needed.
Lead investigations into any potential trade compliance violations and coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders on corrective actions.
Communicate and provide guidance to senior leadership on trade compliance matters and potential risks.
Oversee the management of all trade compliance records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Stay up to date on industry best practices and trends related to global trade compliance and make recommendations for process improvements.
Provide support and guidance to other departments on trade compliance matters, including sales, finance, and supply chain.
Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure alignment and consistency with company policies and procedures.

Knowledge Of International Trade Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Global Trade Regulations, Including But Not Limited To, Import/Export Laws, Trade Sanctions, And Customs Compliance Requirements. This Knowledge Is Crucial For Ensuring Compliance With Various International Trade Laws.
Experience In Cross-Functional Collaboration: As A Manager Global Trade Compliance, One Must Work Closely With Various Departments And Stakeholders Within The Organization, As Well As External Parties Such As Customs Officials And Auditors. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have Experience In Collaborating With Different Teams And Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Familiarity With Trade Compliance Systems: Abbvie Uses Various Trade Compliance Systems To Manage Import/Export Transactions And Monitor Compliance. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working With Such Systems And Possess A Good Understanding Of Their Functionalities.
Attention To Detail: Global Trade Compliance Requires Strict Adherence To Regulations And Accurate Record-Keeping. The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Attention To Detail And A High Level Of Accuracy To Ensure Compliance With Various Trade Laws And Regulations.
Leadership And Management Skills: As A Manager Global Trade Compliance, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team And Managing Day-To-Day Operations Related To Trade Compliance.
