  1. Oversee and lead the pharmacovigilance team in the development and implementation of safety strategies and processes for all AbbVie products.
  2. Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmacovigilance regulations and guidelines, both nationally and internationally.
  3. Provide guidance and support to team members in the timely and accurate reporting of adverse events and safety data.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, regulatory affairs, and medical affairs, to ensure the safety profile of products is accurately communicated.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, vendors, and internal teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  6. Evaluate and manage safety data from clinical trials, post-marketing surveillance, and other sources, and make recommendations for appropriate actions.
  7. Lead the development and implementation of risk management plans for new and existing products.
  8. Stay up-to-date with new and emerging safety regulations and guidelines, and ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.
  9. Manage and mentor team members, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to support their professional development.
  10. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the pharmacovigilance team.
  11. Communicate safety information and findings to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, regulatory authorities, and healthcare professionals.
  12. Attend and represent AbbVie at relevant industry meetings and conferences to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in pharmacovigilance.
  13. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to pharmacovigilance activities.
  14. Act as a subject matter expert on drug safety regulations and serve as a resource for the wider organization.
  15. Uphold AbbVie's values and promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the pharmacovigilance team.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Pharmacy Or Related Field: A Pharmacovigilance Team Lead At Abbvie Should Have An Advanced Degree In Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Or A Related Field. This Advanced Education Will Provide The Necessary Knowledge And Expertise To Lead A Team Of Drug Safety Professionals.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Pharmacovigilance: In Order To Effectively Lead A Team, A Candidate Must Have A Strong Background In Pharmacovigilance. Abbvie Requires A Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Drug Safety, With Experience In A Leadership Role Preferred.

  • Strong Understanding Of Fda And Ema Regulations: The Pharmacovigilance Team Lead Will Be Responsible For Ensuring Compliance With Regulatory Agencies Such As The Fda And Ema. Therefore, A Thorough Understanding Of Their Regulations And Guidelines Is A Crucial Qualification For This Role.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Team Lead, Strong Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential. The Candidate Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, Stakeholders, And Regulatory Agencies, As Well As Provide Guidance And Mentorship To Their Team.

  • Attention To Detail And Ability To Multitask: The Pharmacovigilance Team Lead Will Be Responsible For Overseeing Multiple Drug Safety Projects And Ensuring The Accuracy And Completeness Of Safety Data. Attention To Detail And The Ability To Multitask Are Crucial Qualifications For This Role.
