  1. Lead and execute analytical development strategies to support drug discovery and development projects.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement analytical methods and protocols.
  3. Analyze and interpret data and provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams.
  4. Contribute to the advancement of the company's pipeline by providing critical analytical support.
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, guidelines, and procedures.
  6. Develop and validate analytical methods for various drug substances and products.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with existing analytical methods.
  8. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in analytical techniques.
  9. Mentor and train junior scientists in analytical techniques and methods.
  10. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including presenting data and results.
  11. Work collaboratively with other departments, such as formulation and process development, to support product development.
  12. Manage and maintain analytical equipment and ensure their proper function and calibration.
  13. Contribute to the development of new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  14. Provide technical support for regulatory submissions, including writing analytical sections of regulatory documents.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert in analytical techniques and methods for the company.
  16. Continuously evaluate and improve analytical processes and procedures.
  17. Participate in scientific conferences and present research findings.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Chemistry Or Related Field: A Principal Research Scientist I, Analytical R&D At Abbvie Is Expected To Have A Strong Educational Background In Chemistry Or A Related Field. This Qualification Ensures That The Individual Has A Solid Scientific Foundation And Is Well-Equipped To Handle The Complexities Of Analytical Research And Development.

  • Extensive Experience In Analytical Research And Development: To Be Successful In This Role, An Individual Must Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Analytical Research And Development. This Experience Should Include A Deep Understanding Of Techniques Such As Hplc, Gc, Ms, And Other Relevant Analytical Methods.

  • Proven Track Record Of Leading And Managing Projects: As A Principal Research Scientist I, Analytical R&D, One Must Have Experience In Leading And Managing Projects To Successful Completion. This Includes Setting Project Goals, Timelines, And Budgets, As Well As Overseeing A Team Of Researchers And Technicians.

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Critical Thinking Skills: The Ability To Think Critically And Solve Complex Problems Is Crucial In A Research And Development Role. A Principal Research Scientist I, Analytical R&D Must Be Able To Analyze Data, Identify Trends, And Make Informed Decisions Based On Scientific Evidence.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: Collaboration Is A Key Aspect Of The Job, As A Principal Research Scientist I, Analytical R&D Will Be Working With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Chemists, Biologists, And Engineers.
