Conduct research and experiments in the area of cellular and molecular biology to support drug discovery and development efforts.
Design and execute experiments using a variety of techniques and methodologies, such as cell culture, molecular cloning, and gene expression analysis.
Analyze and interpret data, and present findings to cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with colleagues from different departments to develop and optimize assays and protocols.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of cellular and molecular biology, and apply new techniques and technologies to drive innovation.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments and data, and communicate results effectively through written reports and presentations.
Contribute to the design and implementation of research projects, and provide insights and recommendations for future studies.
Contribute to the writing and review of scientific publications, patents, and regulatory documents.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, and maintain a clean and organized laboratory space.
Mentor and train junior team members, and provide support and guidance to colleagues as needed.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In Cellular And Molecular Biology Or Related Field: A Strong Foundation In The Principles And Techniques Of Cellular And Molecular Biology Is Essential For This Role. Most Positions At Abbvie Require A Minimum Of A Master's Degree, With A Preference For Candidates With A Phd.
Experience In A Research Laboratory Setting: Candidates Should Have Hands-On Experience Conducting Experiments And Analyzing Data In A Research Laboratory. This Could Include Previous Work Experience, Internships, Or Coursework.
Knowledge Of Cell Culture Techniques And Molecular Biology Methods: A Strong Understanding Of Cell Culture Techniques, Including Cell Line Maintenance, Transfection, And Cloning, Is Necessary For This Role. Familiarity With Molecular Biology Techniques Such As Dna/Rna Isolation, Pcr, And Western Blotting Is Also Important.
Familiarity With Drug Discovery And Development Processes: Abbvie Is A Pharmaceutical Company, So Candidates Should Have A Basic Understanding Of The Drug Discovery And Development Process. This Includes Knowledge Of Target Identification, Assay Development, And High-Throughput Screening.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Scientists At Abbvie Collaborate With Colleagues Across Different Departments And Communicate Their Findings To A Variety Of Audiences. Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
