Conduct comprehensive audits of AbbVie's global operations to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Identify potential areas of risk and make recommendations for improvement to management.
Develop and maintain audit programs and procedures in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, and present findings to key stakeholders.
Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and update audit plans accordingly.
Communicate audit results and recommendations to management in a clear and concise manner.
Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance regulations and provide guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
Maintain accurate and detailed audit documentation in accordance with company standards.
Stay current on industry trends and best practices related to compliance and audit functions.
Adhere to all ethical and confidentiality standards as set forth by the company.
Collaborate with external auditors and regulators as needed.
Mentor and train junior auditors to develop their skills and knowledge.
Participate in special projects and initiatives related to compliance and internal audit.
Continuously assess and improve internal control processes to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Knowledge Of Global Compliance Regulations: The Senior Global Compliance Internal Auditor Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of International Laws And Regulations Related To Healthcare And Pharmaceutical Industries, Including But Not Limited To The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (Fcpa), The Uk Bribery Act, And The Pharmaceutical Research And Manufacturers Of America (Phrma) Code.
Strong Auditing And Risk Assessment Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record In Conducting Comprehensive Audits And Risk Assessments To Identify Potential Compliance Issues And Develop Effective Remediation Plans. They Should Also Have Experience In Developing And Implementing Compliance Controls And Procedures.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Compliance Team, The Individual Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Liaise With Various Departments And Stakeholders Within The Company, As Well As External Agencies And Authorities. They Must Also Be Able To Present Complex Compliance Issues In A Clear And Concise Manner To Senior Management.
In-Depth Understanding Of Internal Controls And Corporate Governance: The Senior Global Compliance Internal Auditor Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Internal Control Frameworks And Corporate Governance Principles, Including The Coso Framework. They Must Also Be Able To Provide Guidance On Best Practices And Recommend Improvements To Existing Compliance Processes.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Candidate Must Have The Ability To Analyze Complex Data And Information To Identify Trends And Patterns That Could Indicate Potential Compliance Risks. They Should Also Be Able To Develop Creative And Practical Solutions To Address These Risks And Ensure Compliance With Applicable Laws And Regulations.
