Lead and manage the process development and scale-up of new drug products.
Utilize strong engineering principles to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments and studies.
Analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions and recommendations for process improvements.
Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures and batch records.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
Train and mentor junior team members in process engineering techniques and best practices.
Identify and troubleshoot process issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
Continuously monitor and evaluate process performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and incorporate new technologies into process development.
Act as a technical expert and provide guidance and support to other teams within the company.
Participate in cross-functional project teams to drive process improvements and achieve project goals.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to present data and progress updates.
Adhere to safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In Chemical Engineering Or Related Field: A Senior Scientist In Process Engineering At Abbvie Must Have A Strong Educational Background In Chemical Engineering Or A Related Field, Such As Pharmaceutical Engineering Or Process Engineering.
Extensive Industry Experience: Applicants For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In The Pharmaceutical Or Biotechnology Industry, With A Focus On Process Engineering. This Experience Should Include A Track Record Of Successful Project Management And Process Improvement Initiatives.
Technical Expertise: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Process Engineering Principles, Including Process Development, Scale-Up, And Optimization. Familiarity With Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Processes And Equipment Is Highly Desirable.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Senior Scientist In Process Engineering Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Data, Identify Key Process Parameters, And Troubleshoot Process Issues. Strong Problem-Solving Skills Are Essential For This Role.
Leadership And Team Management Experience: As A Senior Member Of The Team, This Role Requires Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Effectively Manage And Mentor A Team Of Engineers And Scientists. Experience In Leading Cross-Functional Teams And Collaborating With Other Departments Is Also Important.
