Janitorial Supervisor

- Oversee and manage a team of janitorial staff in daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the facility.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure efficient and effective use of time and resources.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all areas of the facility meet company standards and address any areas in need of improvement.
- Train and supervise janitorial staff in proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and submit orders as needed.
- Handle and resolve any complaints or issues related to cleaning and maintenance from clients or employees.
- Conduct performance evaluations for janitorial staff and provide coaching and feedback for improvement.
- Create and maintain a positive and productive work environment for janitorial staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and address any facility-related concerns.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices for cleaning and maintenance, and make recommendations for improvement within the company.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations and ensure that janitorial staff does the same.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, staff attendance, and any incidents or accidents that occur on the job.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required by the company.
- Uphold the company's values and represent the company in a professional and positive manner.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Prior Supervisory Experience: The Ideal Candidate For A Janitorial Supervisor Role At Abm Industries Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Supervisory Role, Preferably In A Janitorial Or Facilities Management Setting. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Effectively.
Knowledge Of Janitorial Operations: A Janitorial Supervisor Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Janitorial Operations, Including Cleaning Techniques, Equipment Usage, And Safety Protocols. This Knowledge Will Help Them Effectively Train And Guide Their Team Members.
Excellent Communication Skills: As A Supervisor, The Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Their Team, Clients, And Upper Management. This Includes Providing Clear Instructions, Giving Feedback, And Addressing Any Issues Or Concerns.
Attention To Detail: The Janitorial Supervisor Will Be Responsible For Ensuring That All Cleaning Tasks Are Completed To A High Standard. Therefore, They Should Have A Strong Attention To Detail And The Ability To Identify Areas That Require Additional Attention.
Time Management Skills: The Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Manage Their Time And Prioritize Tasks In A Fast-Paced Environment. This Will Ensure That All Cleaning Tasks Are Completed Within The Designated Timeframe And Deadlines Are Met.
