Head Cashier

Ace Hardware is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Head Cashier. As a leader in our store, the Head Cashier will be responsible for overseeing all cashiers and ensuring our customers receive exceptional service at checkout. 1. Oversee all cashiers in the store and ensure they are providing exceptional customer service at checkout.
2. Train and coach new cashiers on proper procedures, customer service, and cash handling techniques.
3. Monitor cashiers' performance and provide constructive feedback to improve customer service and efficiency.
4. Maintain accurate records of daily cash transactions, including balancing registers and preparing deposits.
5. Handle complex customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
6. Develop and implement strategies to improve the overall checkout experience for customers.
7. Stay informed about current promotions, sales, and store policies to accurately answer customer questions.
8. Collaborate with other department managers to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience.
9. Ensure the store's cash handling policies and procedures are followed by all cashiers.
10. Assist with scheduling and managing the cashier team to ensure adequate coverage during all store hours.
11. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to cashiering and customer service.
12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
13. Act as a role model for the team by demonstrating a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent customer service skills.
14. Continuously seek ways to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
15. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for all team members.
