  1. Develop and implement category management strategies for the Mexican market in alignment with overall business objectives.
  2. Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, consumer behavior, and competition in the Mexican hardware and home improvement industry.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute product assortment plans that meet the needs and preferences of Mexican customers.
  4. Monitor and track sales data, market trends, and consumer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement within the Mexican category.
  5. Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing and terms to ensure high-quality products are available at competitive prices for the Mexican market.
  6. Coordinate with the marketing team to develop effective promotional strategies and campaigns to drive sales and increase brand awareness in Mexico.
  7. Communicate regularly with store managers in Mexico to ensure proper product placement, inventory levels, and pricing to meet customer demand.
  8. Monitor and analyze inventory levels and make recommendations for product assortment adjustments to optimize sales and minimize excess inventory.
  9. Train and educate store associates in Mexico on category-specific products, promotions, and strategies to increase product knowledge and sales performance.
  10. Stay informed on industry trends and changes in the Mexican market to continuously adapt and improve category management strategies.
  11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales, inventory, and market data related to the Mexican category.
  12. Collaborate with the global category management team to share best practices and align strategies for overall business growth.

Job Qualifications
  • Fluency In Spanish: As A Mexico Category Management Specialist, It Is Essential To Have Fluent Verbal And Written Communication Skills In Spanish To Effectively Work With Suppliers And Understand Market Trends In Mexico.

  • Knowledge Of Mexican Market: This Role Requires A Deep Understanding Of The Mexican Market, Including Consumer Behavior, Competitive Landscape, And Cultural Nuances. Prior Experience Working In Mexico Or With Mexican Suppliers Is Highly Preferred.

  • Category Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Category Management, Preferably In The Retail Or Hardware Industry. This Includes Experience In Analyzing Data, Developing Product Assortments, And Implementing Promotional Strategies.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: A Mexico Category Management Specialist Must Be Able To Analyze Data And Identify Trends To Make Informed Decisions On Product Selection, Pricing, And Promotional Strategies. Proficiency In Microsoft Excel And Other Data Analysis Tools Is Required.

  • Team Player: This Role Involves Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams, Such As Merchandising, Marketing, And Inventory Management. The Candidate Should Have Strong Interpersonal Skills And Be Able To Work Effectively In A Team Environment To Achieve Common Goals And Objectives.
