We are seeking a Retail Sales Associate and Cashier to join our team at Ace Hardware. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to assist customers with their purchases, offer product knowledge and recommendations, and provide exceptional service at the checkout.   1. Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and approachable manner.
  2. Assist customers in finding the products they need and provide recommendations based on their DIY projects and home improvement needs.
  3. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all products and services offered by the store.
  4. Handle all customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  5. Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently at the checkout.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized store environment to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
  7. Handle cash and credit card transactions, as well as returns and exchanges.
  8. Proactively upsell and promote special deals and promotions to customers.
  9. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and excellent customer service.
  10. Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales goals and targets.
  11. Keep track of inventory levels and assist with restocking products on the sales floor.
  12. Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including safety and security measures.
  13. Actively seek out ways to improve the customer experience and provide feedback to store management.
  14. Attend training sessions and stay updated on product knowledge and store promotions.
  15. Maintain a positive attitude and represent the store in a professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: A Retail Sales Associate And Cashier At Ace Hardware Should Have The Ability To Provide Exceptional Customer Service, Addressing Customer Inquiries And Concerns In A Friendly And Professional Manner.

  • Knowledge Of Hardware Products: A Good Understanding Of Hardware Products And Their Uses Is Essential For This Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Various Tools, Building Materials, And Home Improvement Products.

  • Cash Handling Experience: As A Cashier, The Candidate Should Have Experience Handling Cash, Credit, And Debit Transactions Accurately And Efficiently. They Should Also Have A Basic Understanding Of Cash Register Operation And Be Able To Perform Basic Math Calculations Quickly.

  • Sales Experience: Previous Experience In Retail Sales Is A Plus For This Role. The Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Meeting And Exceeding Sales Targets, As Well As The Ability To Upsell And Cross-Sell Products To Customers.

  • Physical Stamina: This Job May Require Standing For Long Periods, Lifting And Carrying Heavy Items, And Other Physical Tasks. Therefore, The Candidate Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Demands Of The Job.
