- Process incoming shipments of inventory in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock levels.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks and organizing inventory in the warehouse.
- Ensure that all inventory is properly stored and labeled for easy retrieval.
- Collaborate with other team members to fulfill customer orders and maintain adequate stock levels.
- Perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing inventory to ensure accuracy and identify any damaged or defective items.
- Communicate any inventory discrepancies or issues to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe and responsible manner.
- Assist with other tasks and duties as needed to support the overall success of the store.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Warehouse Specialist At Ace Hardware Must Possess At Least A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Demonstrate A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge.
Previous Warehouse Experience: Candidates For This Role Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Warehouse Setting, Preferably In A Retail Or Hardware Environment. This Experience Will Provide A Strong Foundation For Understanding The Operations And Processes Of The Warehouse.
Forklift Certification: As A Warehouse Specialist, The Ability To Operate A Forklift Safely And Efficiently Is Essential. Candidates Should Have A Valid Forklift Certification Or Be Willing To Obtain One.
Physical Fitness: This Role Requires Frequent Lifting, Carrying, And Moving Of Heavy Items, So Physical Fitness And The Ability To Lift Up To 50 Pounds Is Necessary.
Attention To Detail: Warehouse Specialists Are Responsible For Accurately Tracking And Organizing Inventory, So A Strong Attention To Detail Is Crucial. Candidates Should Be Able To Maintain A High Level Of Accuracy While Working In A Fast-Paced Environment.
