  1. Provide exceptional patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  2. Assist healthcare providers in outpatient procedures and treatments.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  4. Monitor and record vital signs, perform routine tests, and administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
  5. Educate patients on proper self-care techniques and follow-up instructions.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  8. Keep exam rooms and equipment clean and stocked.
  9. Continuously maintain and update knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities.
  10. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism towards patients and their families.
  11. Utilize electronic medical records systems to document patient information accurately.
  12. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient and coordinated patient care.
  13. Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: A Certified Medical Assistant (Outpatient) At Adventhealth Must Have Completed An Accredited Medical Assistant Program, Which Typically Includes Coursework In Medical Terminology, Anatomy And Physiology, And Clinical Procedures.

  • Current Certification As A Certified Medical Assistant (Cma): The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Possess A Valid Cma Certification From A Recognized Organization, Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).

  • Knowledge Of Outpatient Clinic Procedures: As An Outpatient Medical Assistant, The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Outpatient Clinic Procedures, Including Scheduling Appointments, Checking In Patients, And Assisting With Basic Medical Procedures.

  • Experience Working In A Fast-Paced Environment: Adventhealth Is A Busy Healthcare Organization, And The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working In A Fast-Paced Environment, Such As A Busy Clinic Or Urgent Care Facility.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Certified Medical Assistant (Outpatient) At Adventhealth Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Staff Members. This Includes Being Able To Empathize With Patients, Listen Actively, And Provide Clear And Concise Instructions.
