- Provide expert lactation support to new mothers and their infants.
- Educate and counsel patients on breastfeeding techniques and strategies.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for breastfeeding mothers and infants.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and progress.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in lactation support.
- Facilitate breastfeeding classes and support groups for patients and their families.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for other healthcare professionals on breastfeeding support.
- Adhere to all protocols and guidelines set forth by AdventHealth and regulatory agencies.
- Promote a positive and welcoming environment for patients and their families.
- Continuously promote and advocate for breastfeeding as the optimal feeding method for infants.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to lactation support services.
Certified Lactation Counselor (Clc) Or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (Ibclc) Certification.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Nutrition, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In Lactation Support And Education.
Strong Communication And Teaching Skills To Effectively Educate And Support New Mothers.
Knowledge Of Current Research And Best Practices In Breastfeeding And Lactation Support.
