- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the histology department, including scheduling and coordinating work assignments for histology technicians.
- Train and mentor new histology technicians, ensuring they are knowledgeable and proficient in all histology procedures and techniques.
- Perform complex histology procedures, including tissue processing, embedding, cutting, staining, and mounting, with precision and accuracy.
- Monitor and maintain the quality control and assurance program for the histology department, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and protocols.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and maintenance of all instruments.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of test results and collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and high-quality diagnostic information.
- Develop and implement new protocols and procedures to improve the efficiency and accuracy of histology services.
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies, reagents, and materials necessary for histology procedures.
- Maintain accurate and organized records, including patient information, test results, and quality control data.
- Continuously evaluate and improve histology processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
- Participate in continuing education and stay updated with new developments and advancements in the field of histology.

Excellent Communication, Organizational, And Problem-Solving Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Histotechnology Or A Related Field.
Ascp Certification As A Histotechnologist (Htl) Or Histotechnician (Ht).
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience As A Histology Technician, With At Least 2 Years In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Histology Laboratory Procedures And Equipment.
