- Ensure proper positioning and technique to obtain high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure.
- Maintain and operate mammography equipment, troubleshoot any technical issues, and report any malfunctions.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate interpretation of images.
- Educate patients on the mammography process and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history and imaging results.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Continuously stay updated on new techniques, equipment, and procedures in mammography.

Accredited Mammography Certification: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Valid Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) Or Equivalent In Mammography. This Ensures That The Individual Has Met The Necessary Education And Training Requirements To Perform Mammograms Accurately And Safely.
Experience In Mammography: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Performing Mammograms Is Preferred. This Includes Experience In Both Digital And Film-Screen Technology, As Well As Knowledge Of Breast Imaging Protocols And Techniques.
Strong Communication Skills: As A Mammography Technologist, The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients Is Crucial. The Candidate Must Have Excellent Interpersonal Skills To Help Patients Feel At Ease During The Procedure And To Explain The Results Clearly.
