- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Utilize evidence-based techniques and modalities to help patients improve their physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and progress notes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to patient care.
- Educate and train patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and activities to promote continued progress and independence.
- Monitor and report patient progress to the supervising occupational therapist.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and continuing education opportunities.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment environment.
- Foster a positive and supportive relationship with patients, their families, and caregivers.
- Continuously evaluate and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and needs.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing personal and professional growth.
- Comply with all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
- Uphold the mission and values of AdventHealth in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.
Current Certification From The National Board For Certification In Occupational Therapy (Nbcot).
Associate's Degree In Occupational Therapy Assistant Program From An Accredited Institution.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Teams.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As An Occupational Therapy Assistant In A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Various Rehabilitation Techniques And Treatment Modalities.
