- Collect blood samples from patients using proper phlebotomy techniques and equipment.
- Verify patient information and ensure accurate labeling of all samples.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following infection control and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare team members, and laboratory staff.
- Handle and process samples according to established procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Follow all quality control and quality assurance processes to maintain the integrity of samples and results.
- Accurately document and record all procedures and results in patient records.
- Attend and actively participate in trainings and meetings to maintain and improve technical skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines to protect patient privacy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or problems related to phlebotomy procedures or equipment.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Support and promote a positive and professional work environment.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline processes to enhance patient care.
- Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
A Valid Phlebotomy Certification From An Accredited Program Or Organization.
Demonstrated Proficiency In Venipuncture And Capillary Puncture Techniques.
Knowledge Of Proper Specimen Handling And Labeling Procedures.
Familiarity With Medical Terminology And Ability To Accurately Record Patient Information.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With A Strong Focus On Patient Care And Comfort.
