- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and develop personalized treatment plans based on their individual needs.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques to improve patients' strength, mobility, and overall physical function.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and coordinate treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in physical therapy to continuously improve patient care.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards, as well as facility policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, safe body mechanics, and exercises for at-home rehabilitation.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while providing compassionate care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Bachelor's Degree In Physical Therapy Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Physical Therapy Is Required For This Position. Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Human Anatomy, Physiology, And Kinesiology.
Current State License: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid License To Practice As A Physical Therapist In The State Of California. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met All The Necessary Education And Training Requirements And Is Eligible To Provide Physical Therapy Services.
Cpr Certification: As A Healthcare Organization, Adventhealth Places A High Priority On Patient Safety. Thus, Candidates For This Position Must Hold A Current Cpr Certification To Ensure They Are Prepared To Handle Emergency Situations.
Previous Experience: Prior Experience Working As A Physical Therapist, Preferably In A Medical Clinic Setting, Is Highly Desirable. Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Best Practices In Patient Care And Be Able To Effectively Manage A Caseload.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Physical Therapists At Adventhealth Work Closely With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate Treatment Plans, Educate Patients And Their Families, And Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
