  1. Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients in the outpatient department, helping them achieve their nutrition goals.
  2. Develop individualized nutrition plans for patients based on their medical history, dietary needs, and wellness goals.
  3. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' nutritional status and provide recommendations for improving their overall health.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and nurses, to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to patient care.
  5. Stay informed about the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition and incorporate this knowledge into patient care.
  6. Monitor and evaluate patients' progress towards their nutrition goals, adjusting plans as needed.
  7. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions, assessments, and interventions.
  8. Educate patients on the importance of nutrition and its impact on overall health and well-being.
  9. Participate in community outreach programs and events to promote nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices.
  10. Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and guidelines, as well as ethical standards for the profession.
  11. Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes through quality care and excellent communication.
  12. Attend regular trainings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  13. Serve as a role model for healthy behaviors and lifestyle choices.
  14. Demonstrate a positive and compassionate attitude towards patients and their families.
  15. Collaborate with other Registered Dietitians and healthcare professionals within the organization to share best practices and promote a team-based approach to care.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition Or Dietetics: A Registered Dietitian (Outpatient) At Adventhealth Must Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition Or Dietetics From An Accredited College Or University.

  • Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential: The Candidate Should Be A Registered Dietitian With The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr), Which Is The Credentialing Agency For The Academy Of Nutrition And Dietetics.

  • State Licensure: Depending On The State Where The Job Is Located, The Candidate May Need To Be Licensed As A Dietitian Or Nutritionist. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The State's Requirements For Education And Experience In The Field.

  • Experience In Outpatient Nutrition Counseling: Previous Experience In Providing Outpatient Nutrition Counseling Is Preferred For This Role. This May Include Experience In A Hospital Or Clinic Setting, Working With Patients With Chronic Diseases And/Or Weight Management.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Outpatient Dietitian At Adventhealth, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Patients And Their Families, As Well As Collaborating With Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building Relationships And Providing Effective Nutrition Counseling.
