We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse, Nurse Scientist to join our team. As a Nurse Scientist, you will use your clinical expertise and scientific background to develop evidence-based practices and improve patient outcomes.   1. Conduct and oversee research studies related to nursing and patient care, including designing protocols, collecting and analyzing data, and reporting findings.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and other nurses, to identify areas of improvement in patient care and develop evidence-based practices.
  3. Utilize advanced scientific knowledge and expertise to develop and implement new nursing protocols and procedures that improve patient outcomes.
  4. Stay up-to-date on current research and trends in the nursing field to continuously improve and evolve nursing practices.
  5. Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement research projects that address specific patient needs and contribute to the advancement of nursing knowledge.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including universities, research institutions, and professional organizations to stay informed and collaborate on research initiatives.
  7. Train and educate other healthcare professionals on research methods and protocols to promote a culture of evidence-based practice.
  8. Develop and maintain research budgets and ensure that all protocols and procedures comply with ethical and regulatory standards.
  9. Write and publish research findings in academic journals and present at conferences to share knowledge and contribute to the advancement of nursing science.
  10. Serve as a resource and mentor for other nurses and healthcare professionals, providing guidance and support in the implementation of evidence-based practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Is Required For A Registered Nurse, Nurse Scientist Position At Adventhealth. This Degree Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory, Research, And Evidence-Based Practice.

  • Current Rn License: Candidates Must Have A Valid And Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Where They Will Be Practicing. This Ensures That The Nurse Has Met The Necessary Educational And Competency Requirements To Practice Nursing.

  • Advanced Degree In Nursing Or Related Field: Many Registered Nurse, Nurse Scientist Positions At Adventhealth Prefer Or Require Candidates To Have An Advanced Degree, Such As A Master's Or Doctorate In Nursing Or A Related Field. This Demonstrates A Higher Level Of Education And Expertise In The Field.

  • Research Experience: Nurse Scientists At Adventhealth Are Responsible For Conducting And Disseminating Research To Improve Patient Care And Outcomes. Therefore, Candidates Should Have Experience In Research Methods, Data Analysis, And Publication. This Can Be Gained Through Previous Research Projects, Publications, Or Participation In Nursing Research Conferences.

  • Clinical Experience: In Addition To Research Experience, Candidates Should Also Have A Strong Clinical Background As A Registered Nurse. This Provides A Practical Understanding Of Patient Care And Allows For The Application Of Research Findings In A Clinical Setting. Previous Experience In A Specialty Area, Such As Oncology Or Pediatrics, May Also Be Preferred For Certain Positions.
