Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Education And Licensure: A Nurse Practitioner (Np) At Aetna Must Possess A Master Of Science In Nursing (Msn) Or Doctor Of Nursing Practice (Dnp) Degree, As Well As Be Licensed As An Np In The State Where They Will Practice.

  • Primary Care Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As A Np In A Primary Care Setting Is Required For This Role. This Experience Should Include Providing Comprehensive Care To Patients Of All Ages, Managing Chronic Conditions, And Collaborating With Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Strong Clinical Skills: A Np At Aetna Must Have A Strong Foundation In Clinical Skills, Including Physical Assessment, Diagnosis, And Treatment Planning. They Should Also Be Proficient In Ordering And Interpreting Diagnostic Tests, Prescribing Medications, And Managing Acute And Chronic Conditions.

  • Effective Communication And Collaboration: The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Patients, Caregivers, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Essential For A Np At Aetna. This Includes Strong Interpersonal Skills, Patient Education Abilities, And The Ability To Work As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team.

  • Commitment To Evidence-Based Practice: At Aetna, We Value Evidence-Based Practice And Seek Nps Who Are Committed To Staying Current On The Latest Research And Guidelines In Primary Care.
