Network Infrastructure Engineer

Akamai Technologies is looking for an experienced Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and help manage our global network operations. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills.The Network Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining all aspects of Akamai’s network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of network protocols, various hardware components, routing and switching, and monitoring and troubleshooting tools.The successful candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, along with five years of experience in a network engineering role. We also require experience in deploying and configuring routers, switches, and other networking devices. Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement and maintain Akamai’s network infrastructure.
2. Monitor and troubleshoot network issues.
3. Configure and deploy routers, switches, and other networking devices.
4. Analyze network performance and recommend improvements.
5. Develop and maintain network security policies and procedures.
6. Maintain documentation of the network architecture and configuration.
7. Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
8. Research and stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and industry trends.
9. Assist in the creation and implementation of new network strategies.
10. Collaborate with other teams to identify and resolve complex network problems.
