Job Description

Alaska Airlines is looking for a highly motivated Maintenance Planner to join our Maintenance & Engineering team. We are looking for an experienced professional to help ensure aircraft maintenance is scheduled, completed and documented in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, and be a proven leader in the airline maintenance industry. To be successful in this role, you must have proven experience in aircraft maintenance planning, a bachelor's degree in aviation maintenance or a related field, and an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic License. If you are passionate about keeping our aircraft in top condition and ensuring the safety of our passengers, this is the role for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain aircraft maintenance schedules in accordance with FAA regulations
  • Monitor and inspect aircraft maintenance activities to ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure maintenance activities are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Lead aircraft maintenance planning meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and analyze aircraft downtime data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Track aircraft parts inventory levels and order parts as needed
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance and repair strategies
  • Ensure all aircraft maintenance documents are accurate and up-to-date
  • Monitor aircraft maintenance performance metrics and report on key findings
  • Stay up-to-date on all relevant FAA regulations and industry trends
