Job Description

Alaska Airlines is looking for an experienced and reliable Pilot to join our team. Our ideal candidate is an individual with a passion for aviation, a commitment to safety, and an eye for detail. The Pilot will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft on a wide variety of routes throughout the United States and abroad. To be considered for the position, the ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications: a valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate, and at least 1500 hours of total flight time. Additionally, the successful candidate should have the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with a team of flight crew members. The ideal candidate should be able to work under pressure, thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Safely pilot aircraft on a variety of routes throughout the United States and abroad.
  2. Ensure plane is operated in accordance with all applicable FAA regulations.
  3. Work autonomously and collaboratively with a team of flight crew members.
  4. Monitor and analyze flight data and ensure compliance with company safety policies.
  5. Maintain communication with Air Traffic Control during flights.
  6. Respond to situations requiring immediate action in order to ensure the safety of the flight and passengers.
  7. Conduct pre-flight inspections and ensure all aircraft systems are functioning correctly.
  8. Prepare flight plans and flight logs in accordance with company protocol.
  9. Properly document all aspects of the flight, including take-off, landing, and any necessary repairs or maintenance.
  10. Remain up-to-date on all relevant FAA regulations and airline procedures.
