Hospice Aide / CNA

At Allina Health System, we are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Aide / CNA to join our hospice team. In this role, you will provide comfort and care to terminally ill patients and their families, ensuring that their primary needs are met.The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong passion for patient care and have a desire to provide comfort and support to individuals and families during a difficult time. Responsibilities:

1. Assist terminally ill patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and other activities of daily living.
2. Provide comfort and support to patients and their families.
3. Observe and report any changes in patient’s condition to the supervising nurse.
4. Administer medications, as prescribed, and document all medications given.
5. Follow the hospice plan of care and any physician orders.
6. Prepare meals and snacks for patients as needed.
7. Assist with light housekeeping and laundry duties.
8. Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and families.
9. Attend team meetings and provide feedback.
10. Maintain patient confidentiality.
