Medical Assistant Neurology

1. Greet and welcome patients in a warm and friendly manner, creating a positive first impression of Allina Health System and our Neurology department.
2. Assist with patient check-in, verify and update patient information, and ensure all necessary paperwork is complete.
3. Collaborate with providers to ensure patients receive the necessary care and treatment during their visit.
4. Prepare exam rooms and equipment for patient exams, procedures, and treatments.
5. Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and other pertinent patient information.
6. Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
7. Assist with patient education and provide resources for patients and their families.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including stocking and ordering supplies.
9. Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
10. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols and procedures.
11. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay up-to-date on current medical practices and procedures.
12. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, supporting and assisting colleagues as needed.
13. Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
14. Other duties as assigned by the Neurology department manager or healthcare providers.
