Job Description

​Our Android Platform Technical Lead will manage a team of iOS and Android developers, identify and capitalize on emerging technology trends, and leverage creative and outside thinking to demonstrate the art of the possible within technology. Build highly usable features and improvements to Ally mobile applications ensuring that the code follows latest coding practices and industry standards. Engage with Product Managers and other stakeholders to create world-class customer experiences for the mobile channel. Craft code that meets our internal standards for reusability, style, maintainability and secure best practices for a high-scale digital financial solution. Maintain and advocate for these standards in code reviews. Solve technical problems of high scope and complexity. Work in an Agile environment and gain exposure to continuous integration and delivery tools and build consensus regarding project direction. Work cross-functionally to resolve and understand complex technical and design issues.

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of development experience in either IOS or Android development.

  • A self-starting mentality and passion for experimentation, with success creating highly performant, optimized websites.

  • Desire to work within a diverse group of people and passion for challenging the status quo

  • Passion for creating value for the customer, and enthusiasm for Agile processes that help develop these products

  • Ability to think thoroughly about systems and services and write high quality code
