LPN-Neurosurgery Clinic

Altru Health System is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Neurosurgery Clinic team. We are looking for a detail-oriented, compassionate, and motivated individual who will provide critical support to our Neurosurgery Clinic staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. To be successful in this role, applicants must possess a valid LPN license in the state of North Dakota, two years of experience in a clinical healthcare setting, and a current BLS certification. Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT codes are also required. Responsibilities:

1. Administer patient medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
2. Monitor and document patient vital signs.
3. Assist with patient exams and diagnostic tests.
4. Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
5. Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and other healthcare topics.
6. Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
7. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care.
8. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and healthcare providers.
9. Work within the scope of practice outlined by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
10. Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
