  1. Design and develop innovative thermal solutions for high-performance processors and graphics cards.
  2. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify current and future thermal challenges and propose solutions.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure thermal solutions are integrated seamlessly into product designs.
  4. Create and review detailed thermal designs, including simulations and prototypes, to ensure optimal performance.
  5. Develop and implement testing protocols to validate thermal solutions and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in thermal engineering to continuously improve and innovate our solutions.
  7. Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
  8. Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to source materials and components for thermal solutions.
  9. Participate in product design reviews and provide recommendations for thermal optimization.
  10. Communicate progress, results, and challenges to cross-functional teams and upper management.
  11. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all thermal designs.
  12. Maintain accurate documentation and records of all thermal designs and testing procedures.
  13. Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of existing thermal solutions and make recommendations for improvements.
  14. Proactively identify and address potential risks and issues related to thermal management.
  15. Contribute to the overall success of the company by providing innovative, high-quality thermal solutions.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Thermal Design And Analysis: A Senior Thermal Engineer At Amd Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Thermal Design And Analysis, With A Proven Track Record Of Developing Innovative And Effective Solutions To Complex Thermal Challenges.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Thermal Management Technologies: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Various Thermal Management Technologies, Such As Heat Pipes, Vapor Chambers, And Liquid Cooling Systems, And Should Be Able To Apply This Knowledge To Optimize The Thermal Performance Of Amd's Products.

  • Proficiency In Thermal Simulation And Modeling Software: A Senior Thermal Engineer Should Have A Strong Background In Using Thermal Simulation And Modeling Software, Such As Ansys Icepak And Flotherm, To Accurately Predict And Analyze Thermal Behavior In Electronic Systems.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: Amd's Senior Thermal Engineer Must Be Able To Think Critically And Creatively To Identify And Resolve Thermal Issues In A Timely And Efficient Manner. This Requires Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Well Under Pressure In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Team Leadership And Project Management Experience: As A Senior Member Of The Thermal Engineering Team, The Candidate Should Have Experience In Leading And Managing Projects, As Well As Mentoring And Guiding Junior Team Members. Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Also Essential For Effectively Coordinating With Cross-Functional Teams And External Partners.
