- Provide personal care and assistance to hospice patients, including bathing, grooming, and feeding.
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as dressing, toileting, and ambulating.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to supervising nurse.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the supervising nurse.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Document patient care and observations accurately and timely.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and protocols for providing hospice care.
- Attend training and educational programs to stay updated on hospice care practices.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement a care plan for each patient.
- Respect and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions with patients and their families.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice.
- Be available for on-call duties as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback to improve patient care.
- Maintain a positive and supportive attitude towards patients, families, and coworkers.

Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification
Minimum Of 1 Year Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Hospice Care
Knowledge And Understanding Of Hospice Philosophy And End-Of-Life Care
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Provide Compassionate Care To Patients And Their Families
Ability To Work Independently, Prioritize Tasks, And Maintain Accurate Documentation Of Patient Care.
