- Perform initial patient assessments and develop personalized care plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the patient's physician.
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatments.
- Educate and support patients and their families on proper self-care techniques and disease management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines and maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Valid Rn License: The Rn Must Possess A Current And Active License To Practice As A Registered Nurse In The State Where They Will Be Working.
Minimum Education And Experience: Amedisys Typically Requires Rns To Have A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Nursing (Adn) And At Least One Year Of Experience In A Clinical Setting.
Home Health Experience: Preference May Be Given To Candidates Who Have Previous Experience In Home Health Care. This Includes Knowledge Of Medicare Guidelines, Wound Care Management, And Iv Therapy.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Home Health Rns Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Should Also Have Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build Rapport And Trust With Patients And Their Families.
Time Management And Organizational Skills: The Nature Of Home Health Care Often Requires Rns To Manage Multiple Patients And Their Schedules. The Ability To Prioritize And Manage Time Effectively Is Crucial For Success In This Role.
