Job Description

Welcome to American Airlines! We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Analyst, Benefits Plan Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Human Resources department to manage and administer our employee benefits plans. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a passion for creating and maintaining competitive benefits packages for our employees.   1. Manage and administer all employee benefits plans for American Airlines.
  2. Collaborate with the Human Resources department to ensure that benefits plans align with company goals and objectives.
  3. Conduct regular analyses of benefits plans to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for changes.
  4. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance our benefits offerings.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with benefits providers and vendors.
  6. Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations related to employee benefits.
  7. Communicate effectively with employees regarding their benefits options and any changes to the plans.
  8. Handle any employee inquiries or concerns related to benefits.
  9. Monitor and track benefits costs and make cost-saving recommendations.
  10. Prepare and distribute reports on benefits usage and costs to company leadership.
  11. Participate in open enrollment process and assist employees with selecting appropriate benefits.
  12. Work with the finance department to manage the benefits budget.
  13. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of benefits plan information.
  14. Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement wellness programs and initiatives.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve the benefits enrollment process for employees.
  16. Train and educate managers and employees on benefits plans and changes.
  17. Ensure a positive employee experience with benefits by providing excellent customer service and support.
  18. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
  19. Identify and resolve any benefits-related issues or discrepancies.
  20. Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • 3-5 Years Of Experience In Benefits Plan Management, Preferably In The Airline Industry.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws Related To Employee Benefits, Including Erisa, Cobra, And Aca.

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Ability To Interpret Complex Data And Make Informed Decisions.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams.
