- Lead and oversee all employee relations investigations within the organization.
- Conduct thorough and fair investigations into employee-related matters, ensuring all relevant information is gathered and properly documented.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and company policies during investigations.
- Provide guidance and support to HR team members and managers on employee relations issues.
- Identify trends and patterns in employee relations issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and other relevant departments to resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a positive work environment and prevent employee relations issues.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all investigations and their outcomes.
- Handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism, ensuring the confidentiality of all parties involved.
- Foster a culture of open communication and mutual respect within the organization.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in employee relations to continuously improve processes and procedures.
- Train and educate employees and managers on company policies, labor laws, and conflict resolution techniques.
- Proactively identify potential employee relations issues and provide solutions to prevent them from escalating.
- Collaborate with other HR functions, such as recruitment and training, to ensure a seamless employee experience.
- Represent the company in labor relations matters, such as negotiations and arbitrations.
Strong Knowledge Of Employment Laws And Regulations: A Manager Of Employee Relations Investigations At American Airlines Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Federal And State Laws Related To Workplace Investigations, Such As Title Vii Of The Civil Rights Act, The Americans With Disabilities Act, And The Fair Labor Standards Act.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Communication With Employees, Managers, And Legal Counsel, So Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential. The Ability To Build Relationships And Handle Sensitive Information With Tact And Empathy Is Also Crucial.
Experience Conducting Workplace Investigations: Previous Experience Conducting Employee Relations Investigations Is A Must For This Role. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Conducting Thorough, Unbiased, And Timely Investigations Into Workplace Complaints And Concerns.
Proven Problem-Solving And Critical Thinking Skills: In This Role, The Manager Of Employee Relations Investigations Will Be Responsible For Evaluating Complex And Sensitive Situations And Making Sound Decisions Based On Company Policies And Procedures. The Ability To Think Critically And Solve Problems Effectively Is Essential.
High Level Of Discretion And Confidentiality: This Position Involves Handling Sensitive And Confidential Information, So The Ideal Candidate Must Demonstrate A High Level Of Discretion And Professionalism. Maintaining The Confidentiality Of Investigations And Adhering To Privacy Regulations Is Critical For This Role.
