- Design and develop complex IT systems and applications for American Airlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop technical solutions, and implement changes.
- Maintain and enhance existing IT systems and applications to meet evolving needs and improve overall performance.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in software development to continuously improve our systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Lead and mentor junior developers to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for systems and processes.
- Participate in the planning and execution of software development projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions.
- Adhere to coding standards and best practices to ensure consistency and maintainability of code.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to provide status updates, report issues, and propose solutions.
- Work with external vendors to integrate third-party systems and applications.
- Adhere to strict security and data protection standards to protect company and customer data.
- Continuously monitor and optimize system performance to ensure high availability and efficiency.
- Participate in on-call rotation for off-hours support and troubleshooting.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Extensive Experience In Software Development: A Senior Developer Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Software Development, With A Strong Background In Programming Languages Such As Java, Python, Or C#. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Software Development Methodologies And Be Able To Lead A Team Of Developers.
Proficiency In Web Development And Architecture: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Web Development And Architecture, Including Front-End And Back-End Technologies. They Should Be Able To Design And Implement Web Applications That Are Scalable, Secure, And User-Friendly.
Knowledge Of Airline Industry: A Senior Developer At American Airlines Should Have A Good Understanding Of The Airline Industry And Its Specific Technology Needs. They Should Be Familiar With Industry Standards And Regulations, And Have Experience Working With Airline-Specific Systems Such As Reservation Systems, Flight Management Systems, And Loyalty Programs.
Leadership And Project Management Skills: The Candidate Should Have Experience Leading A Team Of Developers And Managing Complex Projects. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders And Have Experience In Agile Methodologies.
