  1. Ensure the safety and efficiency of American Airlines' flights by closely monitoring and analyzing aviation operations.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve the overall aviation programs and processes.
  3. Collaborate with various departments and teams to ensure compliance with all aviation regulations and standards.
  4. Stay updated on industry developments and trends to continuously enhance American Airlines' aviation programs.
  5. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify any potential safety hazards and take immediate corrective actions.
  6. Work closely with aircraft maintenance and engineering teams to ensure all aircraft are in optimal condition for safe flight operations.
  7. Monitor and analyze aviation performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans accordingly.
  8. Train and mentor new team members on aviation procedures and protocols.
  9. Maintain and update all necessary documentation and records related to aviation programs.
  10. Provide timely and accurate reports to management on aviation program performance and any issues or concerns.
  11. Represent American Airlines in industry meetings and conferences to stay updated on industry best practices and network with other aviation professionals.
  12. Collaborate with customer service teams to address any customer concerns related to aviation operations.
  13. Foster a culture of safety and excellence within the aviation department.
  14. Handle any emergency situations or incidents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  15. Continuously assess and improve the overall customer experience through effective aviation programs.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Aviation Industry Regulations: The Specialist, Aviation Programs Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Federal Aviation Administration (Faa) Regulations, As Well As Other Industry Standards And Guidelines.

  • Experience In Developing And Implementing Aviation Programs: This Role Requires Previous Experience In Designing And Implementing Programs Related To Aviation Safety, Security, And Operations.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Specialist Should Be Able To Analyze Complex Data And Identify Potential Issues Or Areas For Improvement Within The Aviation Programs.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As The Specialist Will Be Working With Various Internal And External Stakeholders, It Is Important To Have Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate And Build Relationships.

  • Relevant Education And Certifications: A Degree In Aviation Management Or A Related Field, As Well As Certifications Such As Certified Aviation Manager (Cam) Or Certified Safety Professional (Csp), Would Be Beneficial For This Role.
