  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Aircraft Base Maintenance department.
  2. Provide strong leadership and guidance to a team of aircraft maintenance technicians.
  3. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  4. Develop and implement maintenance procedures that adhere to FAA regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
  5. Monitor and track maintenance schedules to ensure timely completion and minimal downtime.
  6. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure the quality and safety of all aircraft maintenance activities.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure efficient use of company resources.
  8. Train and mentor team members on new procedures, equipment, and technologies.
  9. Evaluate and address any performance or disciplinary issues within the team.
  10. Adhere to and promote a strong safety culture within the department.
  11. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and changes to regulations, and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
  12. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of parts and equipment.
  13. Monitor and manage the budget for the Aircraft Base Maintenance department.
  14. Participate in meetings and provide reports on departmental performance and goals.
  15. Act as a liaison between the department and senior management, providing updates and recommendations as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Aircraft Maintenance: A Supervisor, Aircraft Base Maintenance At American Airlines Should Have Thorough Knowledge Of All Aircraft Systems, Components, And Maintenance Procedures. They Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Aircraft Maintenance, Preferably With American Airlines Or A Similar Airline.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Supervisor, Aircraft Base Maintenance, One Must Be Able To Effectively Lead And Manage A Team Of Technicians And Mechanics. This Includes Providing Clear Instructions, Setting Goals, And Ensuring The Team's Productivity And Efficiency.

  • Excellent Problem-Solving Abilities: Aircraft Maintenance Can Present Unexpected Challenges, And A Supervisor Must Be Able To Think Critically And Make Quick Decisions To Keep Operations Running Smoothly. They Should Also Have Experience Troubleshooting And Resolving Complex Technical Issues.

  • Knowledge Of Safety And Regulatory Standards: Working In The Aviation Industry Requires Strict Adherence To Safety Protocols And Regulations. A Supervisor Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Faa Regulations And Safety Procedures To Ensure Compliance And Maintain A Safe Working Environment.

  • Effective Communication Skills: A Supervisor, Aircraft Base Maintenance Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Their Team, Upper Management, And Other Departments. They Should Also Be Able To Communicate Technical Information In A Clear And Concise Manner.
