Job Description

Are you an experienced and organized Meeting Manager looking for an exciting opportunity with American Express Global Business Travel? We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of customer meetings and events. In this role, you will manage the entire event cycle including pre-event planning, logistics, on-site execution and post-event follow-up. You must be a self-starter and have excellent organizational and communication skills. To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in meeting planning and/or event management. You must also have experience in customer service and a working knowledge of event management software. A bachelor's degree or higher in hospitality, business, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the planning and execution of customer meetings and events, from pre-event planning to post-event follow-up.
  2. Manage the entire event cycle, including logistics, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up.
  3. Monitor event budgets, manage vendor relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  4. Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  5. Use event management software to manage event details, deadlines, and budgets.
  6. Develop creative solutions to challenges that arise in the planning process.
  7. Ensure events are executed in an efficient and timely manner.
  8. Maintain and update event records and documents.
  9. Monitor event trends, best practices, and industry standards.
  10. Assist with other duties as assigned.
