Job Description

American Express is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Account Protection Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding our customers’ accounts and protecting them from fraudulent activities. We are looking for an individual with a passion for problem solving, excellent communication skills, and an appreciation for customer service excellence.The ideal candidate will have a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field and a minimum of two years’ experience in a customer service and/or fraud prevention role. You must also have strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly assess and resolve customer issues. The ability to think outside the box and spot fraudulent activity is a must. Above all, you must be highly organized and able to distinguish patterns in customer data to identify potential fraud. Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor customer accounts for suspicious activity and quickly take appropriate action.
  2. Investigate and resolve customer inquiries and disputes in a timely manner.
  3. Develop and implement procedures to prevent fraud and other unauthorized activities.
  4. Analyze customer data to identify potential fraud and establish patterns of suspicious behavior.
  5. Communicate with customers to ensure their accounts are secure and their concerns are addressed.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to develop efficient and effective methods for safeguarding customer accounts.
  7. Monitor and update fraud detection systems to ensure accuracy.
  8. Prepare reports and summaries of customer account protection activities.
  9. Provide customer service excellence and excellent communication with customers.
  10. Remain up-to-date on industry trends and new fraud prevention techniques.
