Job Description

At American Express, we are looking for an innovative and talented Data Engineer to join our team. We are looking for a professional with a knack for problem solving and the ability to work with various stakeholders to produce high quality results. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and a commitment to developing and executing solutions that leverage the power of data to drive business growth.The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, as well as a minimum of three years of experience in a data engineering role. In addition, the ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in database design, ETL processes, data warehousing, and advanced analytics. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, who is comfortable working within a team environment. The ideal candidate should also be highly motivated, have excellent problem-solving skills, and experience working with AWS, Big Data, NoSQL, and Hadoop technologies.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models to support analytics initiatives.
  2. Develop and maintain AWS, Big Data, NoSQL, and Hadoop technologies.
  3. Utilize problem-solving skills to identify and resolve data quality issues.
  4. Work with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  5. Analyze large datasets to produce actionable insights.
  6. Create data visualizations to communicate results.
  7. Develop data strategies to support business decisions and growth.
  8. Monitor data pipelines for performance and scalability.
  9. Collaborate with other teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  10. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
