Welcome to American Express! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and driven Project Manager to join our Design & Construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and construction of various projects across our company, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and complex projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners. We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic thinker who is passionate about project management and has a strong background in design and construction.   1. Oversee the design and construction of various projects across the company.
  2. Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  4. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  5. Identify and mitigate any potential risks or issues that may impact project delivery.
  6. Coordinate and communicate with all stakeholders, including senior management, throughout the project lifecycle.
  7. Monitor and track project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  8. Conduct regular site visits to ensure project progress and quality standards are being met.
  9. Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and making adjustments as needed.
  10. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement necessary changes.
  11. Lead project meetings and ensure action items are assigned and completed.
  12. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  13. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments in design and construction.
  14. Mentor and develop junior team members.
  15. Uphold the company's values and promote a positive and collaborative work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Architecture, Engineering, Or A Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In A Relevant Field Is Essential For A Project Manager In Design & Construction At American Express. It Provides A Fundamental Understanding Of Design Principles, Construction Processes, And Project Management Techniques.

  • Proven Experience In Managing Large-Scale Construction Projects: American Express Is A Global Company With A Large Portfolio Of Properties. Therefore, A Project Manager For Design & Construction Must Have A Track Record Of Successfully Managing Complex And High-Value Construction Projects.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Project Manager, You Will Be Responsible For Coordinating With Various Stakeholders, Including Architects, Contractors, And Internal Teams. Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Lead And Motivate A Team Are Crucial For This Role.

  • Knowledge Of Building Codes And Regulations: American Express Is Committed To Compliance With All Local, State, And Federal Building Codes And Regulations. A Project Manager In Design & Construction Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Codes To Ensure That All Projects Meet The Necessary Requirements.

  • Familiarity With Project Management Software: The Use Of Technology And Project Management Software Is Critical In The Construction Industry. A Qualified Project Manager At American Express Should Be Proficient In Using Software Such As Autocad, Revit, And Microsoft Project To Efficiently Manage Project Timelines, Budgets, And Resources.
