- Collect blood from donors in a safe and efficient manner, following all standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Process and label blood donations accurately and ensure proper storage and transportation.
- Conduct donor screenings to determine eligibility and provide education on the donation process.
- Ensure a positive experience for donors by providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of donor information and blood products.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet daily collection goals and support blood drives.
- Adhere to all regulatory and organizational guidelines and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality of donor information.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies as needed.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the American Red Cross and promote a positive image of the organization to donors and the community.
- Comply with all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and collaboration within the blood collection team.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and uphold the highest ethical standards in all interactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Blood Collection Supervisor or Manager.
A Valid Phlebotomy Certification From An Accredited Institution.
At Least One Year Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In Blood Collection.
Strong Knowledge Of Anatomy, Physiology, And Medical Terminology.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact With Donors And Healthcare Professionals.
Ability To Accurately Follow Standard Operating Procedures And Maintain A Clean And Organized Work Environment.
