- Maintain accurate records and documentation of blood donations.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the donation area.
- Collaborate with other team members and volunteers to achieve collection goals.
- Provide exceptional customer service to donors and maintain a positive and welcoming environment.
- Follow all HIPAA regulations and maintain donor confidentiality.
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the donation process.
- Continuously develop knowledge and skills related to blood collection and the mission of the American Red Cross.
- Adhere to all Red Cross policies and procedures.
- Act as a positive ambassador for the American Red Cross and promote the importance of blood donation in the community.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance job performance.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Blood Collection Supervisor.
Certification/Licensure: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Phlebotomy Certification Or State Licensure, Demonstrating Their Knowledge And Competency In Blood Collection Procedures.
Knowledge Of Safety Protocols: As Blood Collection Involves Potential Exposure To Infectious Diseases, The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Be Able To Follow Them Diligently.
Experience In Venipuncture: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In Performing Venipuncture, Including The Ability To Identify And Access Veins For Blood Collection.
Exceptional Communication Skills: Blood Collection Staff Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Donors, Providing Clear Instructions And Addressing Any Questions Or Concerns.
Attention To Detail: Accuracy Is Crucial In Blood Collection, And The Candidate Must Have Excellent Attention To Detail To Ensure The Proper Labeling And Handling Of Blood Samples.
