
Disaster Program Manager

- Provide compassionate support: Demonstrate empathy and sensitivity when interacting with individuals affected by disasters, and provide emotional support and assistance in accessing resources.
- Stay updated on emergency management protocols: Stay informed on best practices and protocols in emergency management and ensure they are implemented in disaster response efforts.
- Plan and conduct trainings: Develop and deliver trainings to volunteers and staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in disaster response and management.
- Monitor and evaluate disaster response efforts: Track and assess the effectiveness of disaster response efforts and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with other departments within the American Red Cross, such as communications and fundraising, to ensure a coordinated and effective response to disasters.
- Represent the organization: Serve as a representative of the American Red Cross in various community meetings and events, and effectively communicate the organization's mission and impact.
- Adhere to safety and ethical standards: Follow safety protocols and ensure ethical practices are maintained during disaster response efforts.
- Document and report: Keep accurate records and produce reports on disaster response activities, including volunteer and resource utilization, outcomes, and challenges.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Disaster Response And Recovery.
Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills.
